Join us at Nevis Range for a truly spooky party this halloween. If you dare, take the gondola, in the pitch blackness, to the spooky restaurant up the hill. If you arrive safely, sample some of our gruesome dishes for your dinner. There'll be all the normal games ... ducking for apples and floury sweets, as well as a bonfire, competitions and crafts. Those wearing fancy dress will get a discount on their ticket.

This endurance race takes place on the world renowned Witch’s Trails and the 07 World Championships courses in Leanachan Forest at Nevis Range. More than 400 mountain bike cross country riders from the UK and beyond will battle it out, from Saturday lunchtime deep into the night, with the event concluding at 12 midday on Sunday.

Official Festival Launch Party at Nevis Range – Thursday 11 February

Let’s get the ceilidh started! The mountain gondola will whisk party-goers to 650m up Aonach Mor beside Ben Nevis for the official opening of the 2010 Mountain Festival.

The Snowgoose restaurant & bar will be open for meals and refreshments from 6.30pm – 8.30pm with a special Festival menu with main dishes priced from £7.50 to £8.50.

Then its time to dance the night away with a great highland ceilidh band from 8 – 11.30pm.

There’s a FREE shuttle bus between Fort William and Nevis Range which departs Fort William (behind Morrisons) at 7pm & 7.45pm and then departs Nevis Range at 11.30pm and midnight.

Advance tickets are priced at £9 adult / £5 child and on the day £10.50 / £6. If you’re a season pass holder or hold a ski pass for the day, then you’ll only pay an extra £4 / £2. To book, please call Nevis Range on 01397 705825. All operations weather permitting.

Saturday 13th February "Adventure" with Paul Diffley (of Hot Aches who made E11 etc.) on his adventure of leaving his career behind for the life of a film maker including screening his latest film "Single Handed". Also Alistair Lee introducing his new film "The Asgard Project" (tbc) of a very big adventure on Baffin Island.

Sunday 14th February Celebrating the achievements of Jimmy Marshall 50 years ago, described as the most important week of Scottish climbing ever! We will get a current climber to repeat the six routes that Jimmy did with Robin Smith on the exact days (starting on 6th February and finishing with Orion Direct on 13th February) and have him present his experiences with film clips of the ascents and recollections from Jimmy of 50 years ago.

This is aimed at the general hill - goer wishing to increase their knowledge on avalanches. This will take place indoor and on the hill so dont be alarmed if you see any objects lying about for their rescue senarios.

Nevis Range, located amidst the spooky Leanachan Forest, is hosting its annual Halloween party on Friday 30th October.

Ride the gondola in the dark, dook for apples, wrap up warm and walk the trail of the witch of Leanachan. Prizes for the best fancy dress (adult and child) and best carved pumkin lantern (bring them with you). Halloween menu from 6.30pm with activities for younger kids from 5.30pm onwards. Adults join in or enjoy an evening meal and drinks from the bar until 10.30.

25% of ticket prices if you are in fancy dress (ticket office will decide what constitutes fancy dress!)

FORT WILLIAM WORLD CUP COURSE

Borderline Events, in conjunction with Dales Cycles, will be hosting 'KILL THE BILL' on the infamous Fort William World Cup Course. There will be world-class challenges at every stage of the 2.8km course.

Starting at 650 metres up it gives riders a great chance to engage in downhill racing at its best. This course is regularly voted 'best on the world cup circuit' by many racers that travel the world in search of thrills.

Event includes:
- All day Saturday & Sunday morning practice
- 2 timed race runs on Sunday (Timing by SDA)
- Gondola uplift for both days
- Points awarded for licence holders

Once you're reached the top of the gondola, then continue your adventure and visit the hidden 'Coire nan Each'. This 2 person chair with stunning views of Leanachan forest and down the Great Glen, opens from 11am - 2pm from Monday to Friday on selected weeks in the summer months. £2.50 per adult, and £1.50 per child. Join us at Nevis Range for our traditional summer ceilidh nights. The snowgoose restaurant is open from 6pm to 9pm serving traditional Scottish food, so you can eat your meal amidst breathtaking highland scenery whilst watching our amazing summer sunsets. Then we've got live scottish music from around 8pm, and then some Scottish dancing. The band will explain the dances, so the whole family can join in the fun! The bar will be open all evening serving local ales and Scottish whisky's, and the last gondola down is around 11pm. The cost for the evening, including gondola and ceilidh, is the normaly price of a gondola ticket .... £9.50 for adults and £5.50 for children.

The 'No Fuss' Downhill Endurance race

This frantic endurance race is organised by the No Fuss events team. Riders will descend the Off Beat downhill track here at Nevis Range as many times as they possibly can in 6 hours! The Big Spring Clean is back for a second year at Nevis Range. It’s a chance for you to do your bit by picking up litter left by a season’s worth of visitors. You will also get tea and cake at the end for all that hard work.
