New Level 1 Instructor Course Dec 2007
New for this season BASI Level 1 Instructor Course - Full and Part Time work available for successful candidates with Nevis Range Ski School
 Following on from last season’s training program, which focused on high school students, we are now keen to progress with this year’s training.
Recent changes to the BASI training structure offer new opportunities for would be instructors.
The new Level 1 Qualification is a 5 day run on either plastic or indoor snow which will enable the successful trainee to teach on artificial slopes and beginner areas on snow, teaching up to plough parallel under supervision.
A Level 1 course is planned for Early December and on successful completion of this course full and part time employment is available at Nevis Range. Working under supervision you would also receive regular training in both technical and teaching skills, with the aim of reaching the required standard to attend a Level 2 BASI course by the end of the season.
Entry requirements for the Level 1 course:
Good parallel turner who can ski red runs with confidence.
Course cost:
£365 - £395 dependent on venue (plastic or indoor)
