It won’t be long now until Fort William and Nevis Range are invaded by bike enthusiasts and riders from around the world. Preparations for this year’s UCI Mountain Bike and Trials World Championships to be held from the 3rd to the 9th of September are now well under way.
This year’s event is set to be the big one. An expected 750 riders from 50 nations and 40000 plus spectators, are all gathering to watch and take part in four of the most gruelling and accelerating bike disciplines around. This year will see famous riders, Olympic champions and riders of the future come together to take part in the Cross Country, 4-Cross, Downhill and Trials.
This is a mountain biking spectacular not to be missed and in addition
outside of Nevis Range there will be a whole host of concerts, parties, cultural and sporting events in and around Fort William. Including the opening ceremony on the 3rd in the
High Street from 6pm.
