The Witches Trail in the Leanachan Forest is the world-class x-country course that was specially constructed for the 2003 World Cup. 2003 was the first year in which all three disciplines have been hosted at one event!!
The x-country tests the super fit of the
World Cup circuit, a combination of fast flowing forest road
together with technical single track climbs and descents will
challenge the rider's skill and courage as well as their endurance.
This is a x-country course not to be missed!!
The Witches' Trail is a permanent feature
of the Forestry Commission's network of trails in and around
Leanachan Forest, it can be accessed daily throughout the
year (excluding track maintenance days such as preparation
for the World Cup). Maps for the trail can be collected from
the Nevis Range base station.
The Nevis Range base station offers an ideal starting point for the Witches' Trail and all of the other routes within Leanachan Forest; there is a large free car park, toilets and a café.
