3 Star Visitor AttractionVisit Scotland Three Star Award

Nevis Range is rated by the Scottish Tourist Board as a 3 star visitor attraction.

Gold Green Tourism Award

The Green Business Tourism Scheme is an accreditation scheme for tourism businesses rewarding environmental good practise.

Gold Green Tourism AwardNevis Range achieved the top award, Gold, which recognises excellence in environmental practise.

The scheme promotes sustainable tourism and allows both businesses and visitors to become aware of reducing their environmental impact.

Nevis Range was first awarded a Gold Green Tourism award in 2003 for the company’s contribution to reducing environmental impact.

Managing Director Marian Austin has always prioritised ‘green issues’ she was obviously thrilled to achieve the Gold award:

“Skiers and summer visitors are often not aware of the efforts that are being made to minimise the effect of their visit on the environment, be it by visitor management, use of recycled products or litter sweeps. Many of such tasks involve a cost of some kind. We are really pleased to have been recognised for our ongoing efforts and on a personal level I’m happy that we’re ‘doing our bit’ for the environment.”

Nevis Range is considered a unique company due to it’s remote mountain location and as such has had to come up with some novel ideas to become environmentally friendly. The company has always prioritised green issues and is proud to be recognised as doing so.
