No visit to the Scottish Highlands is complete
without a trip on the Nevis Range mountain gondola, from small
family gatherings to large corporate groups; Nevis Range is
the perfect destination for group outings. We pride ourselves
in our ability to cater for people from all age groups and
abilities, from all walks of life. We also cater for educational
groups and have attractive offers for tour
group operators.
The
6-seater cable cars carry visitors effortlessly up Aonach
Mor to 2150ft from where they can stroll to one of the panoramic
viewpoints; Sgurr Finnisg-aig, a gentle climb to views across
the Great Glen and hills of Knoydart, or Meall Beag, a slightly
longer walk with views across Loch Linnhe, Loch Eil and Moidart.
At the top station the gift shops offer
interesting souvenirs to act as a reminder of your visit to
Nevis Range, where we also offer the unique opportunity to
post your cards from the highest post box in Scotland, which
boasts its own special stamp. We have also recently developed
a Mountain Discovery Centre, which aims to educate adults
and children alike about the wildlife, mountain habitat and
landscape that surrounds us.
At the Snowgoose Restaurant visitors can
enjoy delicious home cooking and fresh baking made from local
produce, or alternatively sample a local dram in the bar.
Every Thursday and Friday evening during July and August visitors
can enjoy a meal at the Snowgoose restaurant, with a discount
voucher to use at Ride and Dine given with all tickets. Sunset
Ride and Dine Evenings are truly a once in a lifetime experience
and you can be assured that a memorable time will be had by
all. If you wish to bring a group to Ride and Dine you must
pre book. Contact the office on 01397 705825
For the more active within your groups we also have an internationally acclaimed Downhill Mountain Biking Track, which hosts several major events during the summer months including the World Cup. During the winter months our slopes come alive with skiers and snowboarders, attracted by our record for good snow conditions running late into the season.
Last but by no means least, for those who prefer to keep their feet firmly on the ground, the base station boasts a cafe and a series of forest walks ranging in length and difficulty. However many visitors prefer just to relax in the tranquil setting and enjoy the spectacular scenery.
Most groups visiting Nevis Range allow a minimum of one hour for their stay. The cable car trip itself takes approximately 15 minutes each way, rotating on a continuous cycle so minimal queuing can be expected. Additional time may be required if members of your group wish to walk along to either of the viewpoints to admire the stunning views or if you wish to make use of the restaurant as a meal stop.
Welcome on arrival: Staff at the centre are more than willing to welcome your group to Nevis Range on arrival, providing details about the experience itself and the facilities that are available to them. This is also an ideal time to answer any queries that members of your group may have.
Free parking: The centre has ample parking with a coach drop-off point directly outside the base station.
Disabled access: The cable cars can accommodate most wheelchairs, and can be slowed down or stopped to help access.

It is not necessary to make a booking in advance if your group merely want to take a trip in the Gondola as the Gondola runs on a continuous cycle so can accommodate large groups at any time during the day.
We do however strongly advise pre-booking large groups if you wish to make use of the catering facilities or are interested in taking part in any of the onsite activities, i.e. skiing, snowboarding or mountain biking.
