The launch to the 2008 Fort William Mountain Festival took place last night in the Snowgoose Restaurant, 2150 ft up Aonach Mor, at Nevis Range. Under the atmospheric backdrop of an amazingly clear and starry sky, well over 200 party goers, ranging from the very young to the very old, danced the night away to the music of the Andrew McDonald & Henderson Family Ceilidh band. The Mountain Festival runs throughout the week with an awesome line-up, including the first-ever UK Slacklining Masters Contest, outspoken kayaking legend Corran Addison, mountaineer Kenton Cool, the Scottish premiere of US mountain-biking film Klunkerz, legendary expedition films and so much more! www.mountainfestival.co.uk
