The Back Corrie Workshops are aimed at experienced Skiers/Snowboarders, competent on black runs. Designed to provide a basic understanding of Back Country safety in relation to the Back Corrie area.
The workshop covers: assessments of the Back Corries; weather and avalanche risks; preparation and risk assessments; usage of transceivers, shovel and probe; safety on the edge, and rescues.

Booking in advance is essential, as places are limited. Once booked, participants will only be contacted if the course cant go ahead as planned.
The workshop is £40, payable online via our website, participants must also possess a valid Zone A lift pass (which can be purchased from the main Ticket Office from 8am on the day). The workshops run subject to the weather conditions so please check the daily mountain report via our website
What you need to know:
Arrive at Nevis Range for the 8am Climbers Gondola
Meet for 9am at the Gondola top station, Snowgoose Restaurant & Bar
Bring Ski + Snowboard gear
Bring safety gear, a transceiver, shovel & probe, hire is available but equipment is limited (please book in advance via email [email protected] or call 01397 705825 ext 226)
Bring a rucksack (20-35 litres) to carry safety gear
