Would you believe it? Once more, the Fort William round of the UCI Mountain Bike World Cup held at Nevis Range has been awarded the best downhill event on the circuit for 2013.
In its statement the UCI (that’s the International Cycling Union … or the Unione Cycliste Internationale) said …”Hosting its 12th World Cup event in 2013, the traditional venue of Fort William (Scotland) is best downhill event for the second consecutive year. The great atmosphere, huge crowds and smooth organisation that comes from their vast experience, makes it one of the circuit’s most popular events, which has earned the winning trophy on several occasions.” Read the full story on the UCI website.
