How long does the gondola journey take?

The journey takes approximately 12 – 15 minutes each way.

How many people can each gondola take?

Each gondola can accommodate up to six people inside.

How long is the gondola?

The system spans 2.3km of the hillside from the base station at 300ft to the top station at 2150ft.

Does the gondola take me up Ben Nevis?

No – the gondola is located on Aonach Mor, Scotland’s eighth highest mountain.


Can I park my car?

Yes, we have a large carpark at the base station.

Where can I eat?

We offer a range of delicious catering options in both the Pinemarten Cafe at the bottom station and in the Snowgoose Restaurant at the top station.

When is the gondola open?

Opening times vary through the year and we recommend that you check the mountain report on the day of your visit to confirm opening times.

Ski School

Can I have a private lesson

Yes – private lessons are one hour long and run at 12.30pm and in the afternoons as long as we have enough instructors.

Do you offer lesson and hire packages?

Yes – you can buy great value packages which include lessons and equipment hire.

What is the minimum age for a lesson?

The minimum age for group lessons is 7 for skiers and 9 for snowboarders and for younger children we offer a special private lesson price.

Mountain Biking

Can I hire mountain bikes?

Yes, we have an onsite hire shop run by Nevis Cycles.

When are the downhill trails open?

Opening times / dates : Open every day 10.15am – 3.45pm, Sat 6 May – mid Sep 2017 (inclusive dates) other than certain race, maintenance & bad weather days.

These dates and times are governed by our lease with both the Forestry Commission and Rio Tinto Alcan and reflect environmental and safety issues.

Can I take my bike up the gondola?

Yes but to do this you must purchase a bike uplift pass rather than a standard gondola pass.
