After a miserable practise day on Saturday, competitors for the 2015 Scottish Enduro Series awoke on Sunday morning to the sound of birds singing, the sun shining, and the moans of the previous night’s casualties. The course had dried up nicely and it was time to get racin’!
Riders head up to the Blue Adder start, one of the newest trails at Nevis Range. Meanwhile, the life of a marshal is a lonely but important one.
With the morning sun the track dried quickly, there was no excuse for not givin’ it! Railing some turns on the home stretch of the stage.
The sunlight broke through the trees higher up, creating a fairly epic atmosphere.
The final stage was blast down the new jump line, a little brother to the big motorway on the World Cup Downhill track. Despite the miniature size there’s plenty of opportunity to get steezy!
Round 5 saw local legend Ben Cathro finish 7th overall for a 1st place in the series, while dude of hazard Joe Barnes grabbed the top spot on the day, nabbing 9th overall in the series despite this being only his second round.
